As the concluding event to the 2016 festival, the community picnic features an interconnected picnic throughout Lee Park hosted by civic groups, art groups, local businesses, and more.
Local bartenders will feature“Tom Tom” cocktails of their own creation during the week of the festival. Each cocktail will contain at least one local ingredient, with the best cocktail announced at the end of the week.
At Saturday’s Farmer’s Market, we challenge contestants to come up with a dish that is 100% locally-sourced.
During the lunchbreak of Friday’s Founders Summit, Tom Tom seeks to gather 4-5 of Virginia’s leading farmers, restaurateurs, chefs, food activists, and entrepreneurs to participate in a 60-minute panel and Q&A.
