Allie Hill runs a commercial canning kitchen and works with Virginia food entrepreneurs to help them bottle products such as sauces, salsa and vinaigrettes . Her nonprofit, Virginia Food Works, is an organization that supports food entrepreneurs and farmers, assisting them with every step along the way as they get their product into the marketplace. Other work includes local food system research including flash freezing and canning of Virginia-grown produce.
